they granted each other total freedom; that freedom caused their conflict

Overview of UncoupledTuncoupled jpg

Third in the series, A Complement of Lovers, Uncoupled is the story of a man and woman forging new solutions to outdated societal norms.

Everything seems to be unraveling. The 70s bring terrorism. Men and women search for their true identities. Overseas, Rodney and Meg seek a balance in their married lives.

An NSA employee with secrets of his own, Rodney must learn to be all things: husband, father, boss, friend, even risk-taker. Despite their two small children, Meg aches for independence. Can a determined woman achieve her goals in the 70s without destroying her family and marriage?

This novel is complete in itself and makes for enjoyable reading, but for those who wish to delve into the origins of things at this point in the story, the entire series provides a continuous narrative. As the Brody family matures, Rodney and Meg must adapt to changes they initiate, as well as those that take them by surprise.
